Acupuncture FAQs
We use both Chinese needles and Japanese needles.
Japanese needle is very minute and you most likely won’t feel anything. Our patients often ask, “Did you poke already!?” The body tends to be insensitive when you don’t feel well, so you feel almost no pain.
You may feel something, however it is a flow or existence of air, and not pain.
These days, the effect of Acupuncture is evaluated very high and many insurance companies cover Acupuncture. We will check the coverage for you. Please call us.
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine are very effective against pain. Also, they work on autonomic imbalance, dizziness, buzzing in the ears, high blood pressure, gastrointestinal sickness, constipation, diarrhea, frequent urination, etc.

Dr. Tsubakiyama
“Surgery”, said the doctor when Kiyohide’s grandfather injured his back. But Grandpa Tsubakiyama went to an acupuncturist instead. In just five treatments he was back on his boat, catching yellowtail, tuna, and flying fish.
His sixteen-year-old grandson was fascinated and decided to make acupuncture his life’s work.
So Kiyohide became an apprentice in Tokyo, where he studied acupuncture, bone setting, and massage. He then won a scholarship to China, the birthplace of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
